Dijit Launches Personal Media Assistant Mobile Application

Dijit (Formerly Umee) Unveils Integrated Personal Media Assistant for IOS and Android at CES 2011

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dijit, the original creator of the Personal Media Assistant, today announced their official launch of an integrated mobile application now available in the US. Dijit's mobile application for iPhone and Android can be used in conjunction with hardware from every home entertainment equipment manufacturer and with all US cable, satellite and over-the-air networks, as well as new content providers like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.

"There are many Remote Control mobile applications on the market, but Dijit takes entertainment content discovery to an entirely new level with the introduction of our Personal Media Assistant," said Maksim Ioffe, Founder and CEO of Dijit. "The Dijit mobile application provides a seamless and easy user interface with an extensive Program Guide that takes advantage of the 'second screen' companion to customize each home entertainment experience all from the smartphone."

Dijit's main mission is to be regarded as the primary consumer mobile application for the digital home for all entertainment, via both traditional and streaming devices like Roku and Netflix. Dijit also aims to be the first mobile app that enables consumers to control, discover and share content by building a specialized social layer for digital media that includes Facebook and Twitter integration.

Some of Dijit's new features include:

--  New over-the-top services integration, beginning with Netflix
--  Partnership with Griffin Technology provides consumers with the ability
to control their content using infrared technology
--  Support for tight integration for IP-connected devices, beginning with
        Roku
    --  Android support

The origin of Dijit came from entrepreneur Maksim Ioffe, the founder and CEO of Dijit. Ioffe was frustrated by the complex entertainment experience in the modern living room.  Not only was it a hassle to manage multiple remote controls, but virtually no tools were available to discover and share content. Ioffe visualized a better way to discover and share entertainment content, and saw a clear opportunity to utilize the smartphone to provide such a solution for the consumer.
