Panasonic Opens West Coast 3D Innovation Center

Based in Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, New 3D Innovation Center Aims to Accelerate Growth of 3D.

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic Corporation will formally establish Panasonic 3D Innovation Center-Hollywood on January 10 to accelerate the growth of 3D-related businesses and provide a wide range of high-quality 3D content. The center will be the West Coast base of the Panasonic 3D Innovation Center established on September 1, 2010 within Panasonic Corporation of North America, the company's regional headquarters.

Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, the company's Universal City-based R&D site, has been active for over fifteen years. Incorporating Panasonic 3D Innovation Center-Hollywood within Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory will further deepen the company's ties with the movie studios, broadcasting, and entertainment industries, encourage the creation of a wide range of high-quality 3D content and new 3D applications, and further improve 3D production technology. Maximizing the synergy of software and hardware in collaboration with industry leaders in Hollywood will further expand the reach of 3D-related businesses.
