Panasonic Introduces 2011 Multi-Format DVD Players With Newly-Added USB Port
New DVD Players Offer Premium Picture Quality with 1080p Up-Conversion and Progressive Scan
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Panasonic Corporation of North America, a major developer of the DVD format, today announced two new DVD players, the DVD-S68 and the DVD-S48, both with multi-format playback, making them ideal for users who both record their own discs on DVD recorders(1) and view commercially recorded DVD discs.
While both the new DVD-S68 and DVD-S48 are advanced progressive scan DVD/CD players, the DVD-S68 provides 1080p HD up-conversion and features Multiple Operation with Single Remote (HDMI-CEC) and Dolby® Digital for high quality audio. Both models play DVD-R(1), DVD-R DL, DVD+R, DVD+R DL, DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs.

These two new DVD players join a family of trusted Panasonic DVD products including the new DVD-LS92 Portable DVD Player, and two 2010 DVD recorders, the dual VHS/DVD-DMR-EZ48V and the DMR-EZ28 that will continue in the lineup for 2011. Both DVD recorders include a digital tuner that can be employed as a source for digital television transmissions.
The new DVD-S68 and the DVD-S48 DVD Players are scheduled to ship in the spring.
