Parkmobile USA, Inc. Introduces Pay by Phone Parking in Dearborn, Michigan
DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Parkmobile USA, Inc. announced today a revolutionary new service that will allow residents and visitors in Dearborn to save time and money by using their mobile phone to pay for parking at meters in the west downtown district.

Phase one of the program will begin in metered Lot H, located at West Village Drive between Mason and Monroe, south of Michigan Avenue.
To use the new Parkmobile system, customers register for free at http://www.parkmobile.com. Once registered, motorists can use a mobile app, the internet, or a toll free phone call, 800-280-4146 to pay for parking. After setting up the account, customers can immediately start using the system with their registered mobile phone. Motorists can also select the option to receive text message alerts and reminders fifteen minutes before their time expires.

Parking in Lot H is 50 cents an hour. There is a small transaction fee of .35 cents for using the convenience of the pay by phone system, or customers can choose to pay a flat rate of $3 (transaction fee is included) to park from 5 p.m. to closing.
