Sideways Develops U.S. Fund for UNICEF Holiday Coloring Book iPad App

CLEVELAND, Dec. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Sideways, a software company that transforms books, magazines and other publications into immersive experiences on mobile devices, today announced that it has provided the U.S. Fund for UNICEF with its technology for the organization's digital holiday images. TheU.S. Fund for UNICEF Holiday Coloring Book app enables children to color as many as nine holiday greetings on the iPad and then email them to friends and family.  Sideways recently developed its coloring book functionality, which can be added to any children's book, and offered it to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF as a way to support the organization's brand and mission.

"In my mind, UNICEF is so closely linked to the childhood holiday experience, it made perfect sense to offer some of the organization's iconic images as color-your-own greetings for the iPad," said Eliza Wing, president and co-founder of Sideways.  "At Sideways, we are continually looking for ways to develop apps that engage and delight.  It's especially gratifying to provide this unique technology to an organization that works tirelessly year-round to take care of children across the world."

TheU.S. Fund for UNICEF Holiday Coloring Book app developed by Sideways is available in the iTunes App Store at no cost at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-u-s-fund-for-unicef-holiday/id409133581?mt=8.
