Alibris Introduces Free New Apple iDevice Application--Alibris Recommends
New Apple app lets you be shaken and then stirred with recommended offerings from more than nine million titles
EMERYVILLE, Calif., Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Alibris, a division of Monsoon Commerce Solutions and the world's most advanced online media marketplace provider for sellers of new and used books, textbooks, music, and movies, today announced the launch of the Alibris Recommends Apple iDevice application for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The app allows you to search for your favorite book or author, and then shake to instantly get new recommendations based on your favorites.

Alibris Recommends utilizes Alibris's search and recommendation APIs to help users find books they'll love. The API was built using Mashery's API management solution, and the source code for the new "Alibris Recommends" iDevice app is available on the Alibris Developer portal. In addition, Objective-C libraries are available, enabling developers on the iOs platform to immediately start using the Alibris APIs.
