AT&T Announces 'Simplify Your Life' Contest Winners; Video Campaign Helps Raise Awareness of Online Services

Grand Prize Winner Receives $20,000; Runners-up Split $10,000 in Cash Prizes

DALLAS, Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today announced the winners from the "Simplify Your Life" video contest. The self service campaign solicited videos showing how AT&T's Online Services make life easier through Paperless Billing, AutoPay, Account Management and Online Support.

Video prizes were awarded in two categories - the AT&T Award and the Voters Award. The AT&T Award category winners were selected by a panel of AT&T employees and included the top prize of $20,000, which has been awarded to Joshua Merrill and Andrew Dale of Oklahoma, for their video entitled "Dave and AT&T." The winning video emphasizes - in a quirky and believable way - the ease and convenience of AT&T online services, which are accessible from home or on the go. It also illustrates how taking advantage of these services provides customers more free time to do the things they enjoy most.

In addition to the grand prize winner, the panel also selected the following individuals as runners-up:

--  Christian Amundson, New York for "Simplify"
--  Brent Morgan, Athens, AL for "Brent Morgan - Simplify Your Life"
--  Michael Savisky, Pittsburgh, PA for "Visitors 1"
--  Sean Cunningham, Astoria, NY for "Trying to Quit"
--  Travis Dent, Bossier, LA for "Old School Dad"
--  Armen Adamian, East Providence, Rhode Island for "Get Your Head
        Straight"
--  Leanna Mullen, Wilmington, DE for "Our Lives Made A Little More Simple"
--  Jared Hundley, Vancouver, WA for "Robots"
--  Anonymous, Houston, TX for "Mulcher Rethinks Possible"
--  Georgy Kao, Santa Monica, CA for "Now I Have Time To"

"With hundreds of fantastic entries to choose from, this was no easy decision. We were truly blown away by the creativity and thought put behind each video submission," said Phil Bienert, vice president, ATT.com. "We are committed to providing our customers with the tools they need to simplify their lives and these videos uniquely showcase the many ways in which people are benefiting from our online services."

The AT&T judging panel wasn't the only vote that counted to secure a prize. AT&T also established the Community Award category, in which winners were also identified based on votes received from the "Simplify Your Life" online community. Engagement and interest in the contest was impressive, generating participation from across the country. And - more than a quarter of the contest site traffic from visitors sharing the contest or videos - plus tens of thousands of Facebook "likes" and over one thousand comments posted.

AT&T's "Simplify Your Life" Video Contest was powered by Zooppa, the world's leading source in user-generated advertising, from Sept. 20 - Dec. 8, 2010. For more information on the contest and access to the winning videos, please visit AT&T's Simplify Your Life website.
