Company Launches 'Ask Santa' Feature Allowing Consumers To Request Products in the Picture On Their Favorite Sites

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Pixazza, Inc., a web service that is changing the way consumers interact with images across the web, today released a special "Ask Santa" feature to help you receive the gifts you really want by instantly sharing information about the 'products in the picture' that catch your eye online with your family and friends.

To "Ask Santa" for something special this holiday season, simply mouse over a Pixazza-enabled image on your favorite website and a card appears, displaying information about the products inside the image. Just click on the "Ask Santa" button to send a holiday hint directly to Santa, or anyone else who might be shopping for you this year. With one click you can share your dream gift, declare if you've been naughty or nice and send a personal note to inspire your friends and family to purchase the "must have products" you see in images across the web.

"Pixazza's innovative use of images creates a new shopping experience this holiday season, as a record number of consumers are predicted to do their shopping online," said James Everingham, CTO of Pixazza. "Our 'Ask Santa' feature not only makes it remarkably easy for shoppers to find and purchase the gifts on wish lists, but it also enables publishers and advertisers to provide a value-added service that results in increased traffic during a highly competitive sales season."

Pixazza shares actionable product information with consumers through tagged website images by leveraging its powerful crowdsourcing platform. The Pixazza platform combines product experts and computer algorithms to dynamically create and deliver the optimal content related to each image so that when a consumer scrolls over an image on a website, he or she instantly learns where to find a similar product and make a purchase. Pixazza's "Ask Santa" feature takes this process one step further by allowing consumers to unobtrusively share what they most desire this holiday season with loved ones, while providing them with all of the information on where to nab the perfect gift. All shoppers can take advantage of the knowledge of Pixazza's experts and its innovative technology to ensure a rewarding holiday shopping experience.
