New Web-Based Media Network Launches With Focus on Identity

BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Markus Works, Inc., a full service creative corporation, today launched the Williams Identity Network (WIN).  Developed under Founder and Editor-in-Chief Mark Williams, author of business best sellers The 10 Lenses, Your Identity Zones, and Fit In! Your Unofficial Guide to Corporate Culture, the new media web-site leverages webcasts, podcasts, e-books, research literature and myriad resources on human identity to understand the ways in which individuals form opinions on immigration, assimilation, religion, race relations, same sex marriage and many other timely topics.

"Our nation is undergoing an identity crisis. We have never before encountered so much diversity of opinion while facing so many difficult challenges. These challenges are all linked to identity and need to be addressed from a multitude of disciplines, such as sociology, law, psychology, economics, education and political science," says Williams. "WIN brings experts together from a wide range of fields and expertise to explore identity in a newly synergistic way."  Williams calls this new approach Integral Identity, defined as "the way an individual prioritizes, integrates and expresses his or her authentic self purposefully in relation to others."  Integral Identity heralds a new level of inquiry and research within the community of diversity and inclusion practitioners.

Each month the site dedicates itself to one important trending issue which is introduced to members in an original multimedia publication called WINMoments.  Followed by a penetrating analysis of the topic and its impact on individual and organizational identity, members can access an aggregate of related news stories, as well as add their commentary on the site's various blogs, video interviews, strategic analyses, essays, and forums.

Premium users, who pay an annual $250 subscription fee, have access to customized e-learning, private forums and specialized resources that can be used by executives, practitioners, community leaders, and others to engage in training and podcasts like WINning Conversations to deepen cross-cultural understanding. Williams adds that "diversity and inclusion leaders, managers in diverse workplaces, and community leaders can gain access to cutting-edge continuous diversity e-learning 24/7 on WIN."

WIN launches with an insightful examination of the topic of immigration and assimilation. "We know that immigration reform weighs heavily on the nation now more than ever. Having a vehicle like the WIN provides another important avenue for important dialogue across perspectives to occur in an stimulating environment where mutual discovery can occur," says Maria Hernandez, WIN's Chief Learning Officer.
