Zeebo China Showcases Chinese Educational and Entertainment Content at Premier Television Broadcasting Conference ICTC

Locally Developed Content Spearheads Zeebo's Push to Bring Interactive Learning and Fun to Chinese Families

HANGZHOU, ZHEJIANG, China, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- At today's International Coverage and Transmission Conference (ICTC), a premier event in China's television broadcasting industry, Zeebo China showcased demo versions of two original interactive learning and entertainment applications designed specifically for children. Blue Sea School and Fish vs. Pirates areboth being developed in widescreen format exclusively for the Zeebo system in China. Zeebo also demonstrated several other entertainment applications, including Zeebo Sports Tennis, which is being developed by Zeebo Interactive Studios (ZIS) for the Chinese market.

"It is extremely important to develop a culturally relevant content library tuned to the needs of Chinese consumers to be successful in China," said Mike Yuen, senior vice president of global content and services, Zeebo, Inc. "This marks the beginning of a key first step in our efforts to bring economical, easy-to-access and appropriate family-friendly digital education and entertainment content to Chinese families."

Blue Sea School and Fish vs. Pirates are both being developed by Beijing-based Nebula Soft. Blue Sea School features beautiful 3D cartoon art and 30 fun interactive exercises designed to improve kids' skills in math, logic, memory, coloring, matching and more. Users can take an evaluation test, and based on the results, specific age-based activities are suggested. As each user progresses, trophies and other awards are unlocked and displayed in the trophy room.

Fish vs. Pirates features a colorful and unique paper-cut art style and will challenge kids to think strategically. Fish vs. Pirates teaches kids about oceanography, with daily lessons, wiki cards and 40 levels divided into four worlds representing the Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean.

"This announcement underlines our commitment to localized, high-quality educational content for Chinese families and our support for the growing developer community in China," Yuen continued. "We are very impressed by the speed and quality of the local content development teams. Their skills are on display as they develop these new titles which feature outstanding graphics, design and culturally relevant educational content, fully localized in Mandarin."
