Contributors Recognized in Updated SIAC Website

FRISCO, Texas, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) announces a Website update that now includes recognition to the organization's contributors. SIAC, a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, uses contributors' key donations to fund the outreach, education, communications and model ordinance creation activities of the organization.  This update highlights and recognizes the importance electronic security companies and organizations play in keeping SIAC at the forefront of critical alarm management issues.

The changes can be found by clicking on "Contributors" on the top menu bar of SIAC's Website: http://www.siacinc.org.  "We would not be able to function without the folks who fund us.  Without this important funding, we would have no programs, no outreach to law enforcement and local governments, no education, and no ability to help companies in the electronic security industry combat bad ordinances or policies," said SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin.

"One of the main reasons we added our list of contributors is to give them the recognition and thanks they deserve for keeping SIAC funded and enabling us to help improve alarm management practices.  It's only through their help that we can do the good work we do for other companies in our industry," Martin added.

"We are also continually seeking new contributors and urge companies and organizations in the security industry to visit our Website and consider donating. By helping SIAC, contributors help their bottom line through improved industry-wide alarm management practices."

The "Contributors" section on the Web site is broken down by donation levels. The top tier, "Diamond," include sponsors ADT Security Services, Inc., Honeywell Security Group and the Security Industry Association (SIA), each who give $150,000 plus.

"Ruby" Contributors include those donating $50,000-$150,000: Broadview Security (now ADT), Digital Security Controls, and UTC (formerly GE).

"Emerald" Contributors include those who give $10,000-$50,000: APX Alarm, Bay Alarm Company, Bosch Security Systems, Defender Direct, Inc., Digital Monitoring Products, Guardian Protection Services, and Tri-Ed Distribution.

Other tiers include "Sapphire" Contributors who donate $2,500-$10,000, and "Valued Contributors" give $2,500 or less.

"We're extremely thankful for all these sponsors of our efforts. To help each of these companies and organizations, we included a 'Proud Sponsor' logo that they can download to help them show their support of the high standards we endorse in alarm management," Martin said.

The logo is available for downloading at the bottom of the "Contributors" page.
