Next Intelligence Corporation Announces Increased Functionality for Its CarePlus System
Offers advanced workflow functions at an attractive price point
WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Intelligence Corporation (http://www.niq-health.com), the leader in message-based nurse call systems, announced today it has enhanced its CarePlus system by adding an infinitely flexible soft call point system for touch screen PCs or tablets. CarePlus enables patients to differentiate priorities when assistance is required, matching the staff skill or competency required by the patient: medical; nursing; or housekeeping and service calls.
"Nurse Call systems which offer no middleware capability are, frankly, of no use in modern settings where improving the patient/clinician experience and improving efficiency and inter-operability is essential," said Andrew Rothon, CEO of Next Intelligence Corporation. In the article, Mr. Rothon states: "Nurse call systems that don't cross the technology chasm to become interconnecting message handling systems (with embedded middleware) will be dead by the end of the decade. The US$16 billion-dollar market will be redefined by those that can."
Mr. Rothon said: "To ensure business benefits are realised in hospitals and long term and aged care settings, IT departments and CIOs will take increasingly more control of the nurse call purchasing and rollout cycle. Nurse Call will become a core product within the IT department, not a local buzzer circuit."
