Active Broadband Networks Announces Availability of DOCSIS® 3.0 Resource Manager

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Active Broadband Networks, the leading provider of Resource Management Systems for DOCSIS® announces the immediate availability of the Active Resource Manager Platform, including Access Network Business Intelligence, Internet Statistics System, and Subscriber Service Control System, fully supporting DOCSIS® 3.0 IPDR and PacketCable(TM) Multimedia

The Active Resource Manager combines Collection, Processing and Storage with Policy and Dynamic Service control to provide a scalable, comprehensive Resource Management Platform. These core capabilities are used to provide Access Network Business Intelligence, Internet Usage Metering, Congestion and Quota Management, Pre-Paid Service and integrate applications using policy and dynamic services. The addition of DOCSIS® 3.0 IPDR support adds capabilities required to manage services delivered on DOCSIS 3.0 infrastructures in addition to new detailing network, device and HFC plant information.
The Active Resource Manager is a scalable, reliable platform deployed at some of the worlds largest Cable System Operators. Release 4.5 of the Active Resource Manager platform and its Service Management applications is available immediately.
