The site will debut with collections from sixteen distinctive fine jewelry and fashion jewelry designers. Established names such as Beverly Hills icon Mastini and the elegant Baroni collection will be joined by emerging talents such as contemporary innovator Liz Law, sleek minimalist Meghan Patrice Riley, Verve's delicate and organic modern pieces, and the unique Uncommon Threads line of crocheted jewelry.
Prices range from $44 for a flirty pair of German Glass and Swarovski Crystal Earrings, to $8400 for an exquisite pair of 5.5 TW Diamond Earrings set in 18K White Gold, and hundreds of designs are priced less than $200. Shipping is free on all US orders.
To coincide with the site's 10/10/2010 premiere, a "Radical Giveaway" will give away 10 specially selected pieces from various designers valued at a total of $1000. Members who post comments on the selected product's pages will be eligible to win. Winners will be announced on October 21 and will have 24 hours to claim their prize.
In addition, each week will feature a tantalizing "Radical Sale." Selected items from a Velvet Radical designer will be offered in limited quantities and at special promotional prices for only 24 hours. When any item sells out within that time, one purchasing member will receive that piece for free.
