Federated Networks Launches 'Unbeatable' Security Software Sneak Preview at DEMO Fall 2010

Breakthrough cyber security protects against data compromise on your desktop, server or in the cloud

TORONTO and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Federated Networks today announced the sneak preview of the FN Connect Secure Architecture, which comprehensively secures consumers, enterprise and governments wishing to protect their private and confidential data from networked software's most pervasive threat vectors. Federated Networks' Chief Executive Officer Dave Lowenstein will demonstrate how the new architecture eliminates common computer security threats facing consumers and enterprises today, Tuesday, September 14 at 9:27 AM, at DEMO Fall 2010, which is being held this week in Santa Clara, California.

The FN Connect Secure Architecture represents the combination of a number of technologies, including three the company hilted today at the DEMO conference:

  1. The complete replacement of the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol
which is well known to be insecure, but all of the company's
competitors none-the-less build their solution stacks on top of it.
  2. Materially strengthening the Human-Computer-Interface (HCI) to
effectively immunize the Users' system from spyware.
  3. Protecting the privacy, security and confidentiality of all of a Users'
     Web communications.

The company plans to offer products based on the architecture in the coming months that will secure end-users and allow companies and government entities to offer a much more secure Web experience.

"Existing security models and products are fatally flawed, so we designed a software solution that goes to the root reasons why all other security software solutions are deficient," said Lowenstein. "The DEMO presentation shows how our software can solve the major consumer concerns regarding computing today: the theft of passwords, banking account information and other confidential personal identification information as well as the security, privacy and confidentiality of web communications, like email, instant messaging and social networking sites like Facebook."

"We believe Federated Networks has potentially developed a game-changing technology that could revolutionize cyber security," said Matt Marshall, executive producer of DEMO. "Replacing SSL and materially strengthening cyber system immunity against common identity theft threats like phishing and spyware, while introducing free, strong encryption technology for popular Web communication tools like email, instant messaging and social networks like Facebook would seem to ensure that anything someone now wants to keep confidential, they certainly can."

Today's sneak preview presentation at DEMO Fall 2010 highlights only a few applications of the new Federated Networks software, demonstrating what is possible when the root issues prevalent with other security approaches are addressed. Importantly, The FN Connect Securely(TM) Framework provides the foundational infrastructure for securing planned Internet initiatives, such as secure e-statements and e-billing, e-voting, e-currency and e-health applications. Additionally, the company's technologies significantly strengthen military mission critical command and control IT infrastructure including solving several of the U.S. military's most challenging cyber security challenges, as outlined by the INFOSEC Research Council's "Hard Problems List."

Federated Networks plans to make available on its website, FederatedNetworks.com demonstrations' similar to those introduced today at DEMO Fall. Also available on the company's Website is more technical information about the company's products solutions and technology. Federated Networks also unveiled its Facebook page today to provide additional information and will be tweeting live from DEMO(@FedNetworks).
