Logitech G7 Cordless Gaming Mouse
Logitech releases another mouse that aims to dethrone the top of the line MX1000. While it is targeted at gamers, this is the best mouse I have ever used. Trust me, read more...

Page 2: Testing and Conclusion

Testing:

Basically, this is a great mouse. Tracking on this baby is the best I have ever seen...ever. Say goodbye to the split-second of lag you get when you place the mouse down. This mouse takes about a minute to go to "sleep", and even when it goes sleepy-time, there is hardly any wake up delay. The DPI manipulation that the mouse offers is a great feature, and should please anyone in any field. It's great for people that work on projects that need high precision on the fly. With one tap of a button, you could have double the precision as normal. It truly is amazing, and a welcomed feature for any PC user, gamer or not.

In games, you will do quite well: there is no other way to say it. The low coefficient of friction, combined with the superb tracking provide an excellent gaming experience in any type of game. Switching the DPI on the fly also gives you great control of the mouse speed without having to clunk around in the game options. Logitech has one upped themselves yet again.

Conclusion:

This is the best mouse I have used to date. I know I have said it with the MX700, and the MX1000, but every new, top-of-the-line mouse that Logitech puts out is just that much better than the previous. If you have a MX1000, I suggest waiting till the next iteration comes out... unless you are a gamer. For everyone else, drop your current mouse and go buy this one. You won't be sorry. Even for $90, it is worth it. If the price is too steep for you, Logitech makes a G5 that is corded. I suggest saving your beer money and getting a MX1000, though.

I have no problem in giving this product an editor's choice award. Two highly-pixelated thumbs up!

I'd like to thank Kate from Logitech for supplying this product for review.
